Seen & Heard: Protecting a Symbol of Power

PREPARATION FOR OCCUPIED WALL STREET
Since today is the 10th anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, who took over Zuccotti Park in 2011 (where did that decade go?), the bull was prepared. Thanks to N. for the photo of him in his protective gear.

RICH IN CITI BIKE STATIONS
While I could never get a feel for how the DOT plans Citi Bike stations – even after many round trips to Duane Street station – the Downtown Alliance did a quick count and there are now 35 stations south of Chambers! There’s a new one in Church and Vesey.

FREE FILMS AT FOSUN PLAZA
The highly anticipated Alamo Drafthouse (have these plans been discussed for five years now ??) offers free outdoor movies at Fosun Plaza (28 Liberty) on October 23, 30 and 7 at 7 p.m. ET. (Note that it’s a Saturday, Saturday, and Sunday.) It will be “Escape from New York” on September 23, followed by “You’ve Got Mail” on September 30 and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” on October 7. . encouraged for the latter.
