Hempstead, NY – Hofstra’s women’s lacrosse team has been named the Academic Honor Squad of the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association, it was announced today. Additionally, 15 incredible members of the program have earned a spot on the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
To qualify for this prestigious Academic Honor Team, the team must have posted a 3.2 or higher grade point average for the academic year.
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, student-athletes must be junior, senior, or graduate students and have achieved a cumulative academic average of 3.50 or higher.
As a team, Hofstra had a 3.59 grade point average during the 2021-22 academic year. The program recently won the Colonial Athletic Association Team Academic Excellence Award for Women’s Lacrosse, recognizing the institution with the highest grade point average in the 22 CAA-sponsored sports.
Pride saw 16 student-athletes earn Dean’s List recognition over the past semester and six received Provost’s List honours. Additionally, 34 student-athletes were named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll.
