“Scream” Final Trailer: Ghostface is Back

Will be Scream to be the film to finally dethrone Spider-Man: No Path Home at the top of the box office charts? Most predictions right now put it at around $ 40 million, which would probably be enough to make it the best film in the country. As a final selling point, a new trailer was released today, featuring the returning cast of Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, as well as good ol ‘Ghostface – who in at least one scene appears to have a new silver mask and flamethrower.

Who says you can’t teach a bad old slasher some new tricks? This fifth Scream The film is directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, succeeding the late Wes Craven, with a screenplay by James Vanderbilt and Guy Busick. There aren’t too many plot reveals in this finale. Scream trailer, but it hints that one or more of those main characters could (finally) become one of Ghostface’s victims this time around. Twenty-five years after a series of brutal murders shocked the peaceful town of Woodsboro, a new killer donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect the secrets of the town’s murderous past. Neve Campbell (“Sidney Prescott”), Courteney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) and David Arquette (“Dewey Riley”) return to their iconic roles in Scream alongside Melissa Barrera, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Mikey Madison, Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Sonia Ammar.

Scream opens in theaters this Friday.
